<image:caption>E.T. Table is an attempt to bring the soft, quiet yet friendly nature of a bedroom into a bedside table. The industrial felt that lines the drawer boxes replaces traditional drawer glides and creates a soft, smooth surface for waxed drawers to glide over. The resulting sound of a drawer gliding is akin to that of fabric rustling.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Though modular furniture is available en masse, once the user has chosen their unit or combination thereof, there is little they can do to adapt it to a new environment. This lack of adaptability often takes a once highly useful item and transforms it into an object of compromised utility at best, and at worst worthy of discard. Hive is an attempt to make a shelving unit that truly invites change.</image:caption>

In this team project done with Michael Oukine and Jennifer Tate, the goal was to create three lids, each addressing a different problem encountered during the morning commute when so many of us require the helpful jolt of a caffeinated beverage.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The Story of Stuff is an original work by choreographer Betsi Graves and performed by her dance company, Urbanity Dance. Inspired by Annie Leonard’s video of the same title, The Story of Stuff deals with concepts of greed and materialistic values in our contemporary society. Graves created fascinating characters to represent our internal propensities. In talks with Ms. Graves, lead designer Leah Johnstone-Mosher and collaborator Severin Lafrance came up with two dynamic props that were able to support the concept of the Story of Stuff and were interactive enough to influence the choreography.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Event</image:title>
<image:caption>Amazonia: A Worst Case Scenario Shop, was a project produced by Grey Area Collective. The pop up shop displayed products designed and imagined for the not so distant future when climate change continues to more and more drastically effect the lives of New Yorkers. Sometimes humorous, sometimes ominous the products aimed to serve as a reminder of the very real challenges that will face us all very soon if action on climate change isn’t taken. In the products Ms. Johnstone-Mosher designed for Amazonia she aimed for a mix of whimsy and practicality.</image:caption>
